Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Atlantic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) about your use of the Atlantic personal finance app (“the App”). Atlantic is operated from India. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Eligibility and Account Registration
To use Atlantic, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old, or older if your local law requires it for agreements like this
- Be able to agree to these Terms under the law where you live
- Give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date
- Keep your password and account secure
- Tell us right away if you think someone else is using your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account, whether you allowed it or not. Tell us promptly if you notice unauthorized use.
Description of Service
Atlantic is a personal finance app that helps you:
- Record income, spending, transfers, and balance changes
- Use more than one account and see balances
- Set monthly budgets and assign amounts to categories
- Sort and label transactions with categories, tags, and payees
- See summaries on the Dashboard and manage optional reminders on your device
- Optionally use an Atlantic number keyboard extension where iOS allows it
- Keep your information in sync across devices when you sign in
- Use much of the App even when you are offline
The App is for your personal use, not for running a business through the App unless we say otherwise. We may change, pause, or stop parts of the App at any time.
Fees and Payment
Atlantic is offered as a subscription. Price, billing period, auto-renewal, and any trial or introductory offer are shown before purchase on the App Store. Apple handles payment processing, and we do not store your full card number.
You manage, change, or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account (for example Settings → Subscriptions on your device or the App Store), subject to Apple’s rules. If your subscription lapses, features that require an active subscription may stop working until you resubscribe.
We may change prices, plans, or what is included; when we do, we will update these Terms and give notice in line with the App Store’s requirements and applicable law.
Refunds follow the App Store’s refund policy unless a stronger rule applies where you live.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Making sure the financial information you enter is correct and complete
- Keeping your device and your sign-in information secure
- Keeping your own copies of important records elsewhere if you need them—the App may not offer a single download of everything at once
- Using a device and system version that meet the requirements shown where you get the App (for example the App Store listing)
- Following the law when you use the App
- Not using the App for anything illegal or harmful
- Not trying to break into our systems, other people’s accounts, or the App itself
We are not liable for losses caused by wrong data you enter, a compromised device or password, or not keeping backups you need outside the App.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only in lawful ways and as these Terms allow. You agree not to:
- Break any law where you live or operate
- Try to get into our service, someone else’s account, or related systems without permission
- Interfere with the App or overload our systems on purpose
- Send viruses or other harmful software
- Try to extract or copy the App’s code except as the law allows
- Remove or hide notices about who owns the App or its content
- Use bots or scrapers to access the App in an automated way without our permission
- Pretend to be someone else or lie about who you are
- Use the App to run a commercial service or process others’ data for business without our OK
Data and Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. By using the App, you agree to that policy.
In short:
- The App is built around transaction and account information you choose to enter. Subscription payments are handled by Apple; we do not store your full card number-see the Privacy Policy.
- Your financial information is stored on your device and, when you sign in, can also be stored in the cloud for sync-details are in the Privacy Policy.
- Signing out removes data from this device; copies in the cloud may remain until you delete them or delete your account (see Privacy Policy).
- Advanced Settings can delete synced app data without deleting your login. Settings → Danger zone → Delete account permanently removes your sign-in and associated records on our servers; it does not cancel App Store billing—you do that in Apple’s subscription settings.
- We do not sell your transaction history to advertisers or data brokers. Optional analytics to improve the App is described in the Privacy Policy and is not for showing you ads.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and account safe.
Read the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Intellectual Property Rights
The App—including its design, features, text, logos, and branding where we own them—is owned by Atlantic and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
We give you permission to:
- Download and install the App on devices you own or control
- Use the App for yourself, not to resell or run as a service for others
You may not:
- Copy the App, change it, or build a new product from it without permission
- Share, rent, or sell the App or your rights to use it
- Remove legal notices about ownership
- Use our name or logos in a way that suggests we endorse something without our written OK
Service Availability and Modifications
We try to keep the App running smoothly, but we cannot promise that:
- The App will always be online or never interrupted
- The App will never have bugs, mistakes, or security issues
- Every feature will work the same on every device or network
- Sync between devices will always be immediate
We may:
- Change, pause, or stop any part of the App
- Do maintenance that briefly takes the App offline
- Release updates you may need to install
- Add, change, or remove features
We will try to tell you about big changes or long outages when we can, but we are not required to give advance notice every time.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER SPOKEN OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES THAT THE APP IS MERCHANTABLE, FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGING, AND THAT CALCULATIONS ARE ACCURATE, THAT THE APP WILL RUN WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR ERRORS, OR THAT DATA WILL ALWAYS BE SENT OR STORED SECURELY.
We do not promise the App will match what you need, run without errors, or that every problem will be fixed. The App is not financial, legal, or tax advice—it is a tool to help you organize information. You are responsible for checking that numbers and details are right for your situation.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, ATLANTIC AND OUR TEAM, PARTNERS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST BUSINESS, OR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD SUCH DAMAGE WAS POSSIBLE.
THIS INCLUDES LOSSES FROM USING OR NOT BEING ABLE TO USE THE APP, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA, MISTAKES OR GAPS IN THE APP, DELAYS OR OUTAGES, OR SOMETHING A THIRD PARTY DID.
SOME PLACES DO NOT ALLOW THESE KINDS OF LIMITS, SO PART OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Indemnification
If someone sues or claims against us because of how you use the App, or because you broke these Terms, another person’s rights, or the law, you agree to cover our costs and losses, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent the law allows.
This includes claims tied to your use or misuse of the App, your content or data in the App, or your breaking these Terms or any law.
Termination
We may stop or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for example if:
- You break these Terms
- We reasonably believe you or someone using your account tried to hack, attack, probe, or misuse the App, our systems, or other users’ data—if that happens, we may disable your account immediately, even if you have an active subscription, and we are not required to refund what you paid unless the law requires it
- We believe your use harms us, other users, or the App
- Your account is inactive for a long time
- Law enforcement or regulators ask us to
- We wind down or materially change the App
When access ends, your permission to use the App may end. You can delete synced app data under Advanced Settings, or permanently delete your sign-in under Settings → Danger zone → Delete account, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Canceling your subscription is done through Apple; terminating these Terms or your account does not by itself cancel an App Store subscription—you must do that in your Apple ID subscription settings.
We will update these Terms if our data-deletion or account steps change in an important way.
Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services, including:
- Apple: handles App Store subscriptions and provides core iOS services you enable on your device.
- Cloud and analytics providers: support optional sync, sign-in, and product improvement analytics.
Sign-in in this version uses email and password. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and privacy policies.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without picking another country’s laws unless a mandatory rule where you live requires it.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies where you live.
If you have a dispute or concern, email us first at admin@scribbleminds.com so we can try to resolve it in good faith.
If we cannot resolve it that way, disputes will be subject to the courts of India that have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live requires a different process for consumers.
We may update this section as needed; check the Last Updated date.
Changes to Terms
We may change these Terms at any time. For important changes we will:
- Post the new Terms in the App
- Change the “Last Updated” date
- Show an in-app notice when we can
If you keep using the App after the new Terms take effect, that means you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using the App, cancel your subscription through Apple if needed, and delete your data or request account help using the steps in the App, the Privacy Policy, or our support contact.
Check these Terms from time to time so you know the current rules.
Severability
If a court finds part of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies. That part will be limited or rewritten only as much as needed to make it valid.
Entire Agreement
These Terms and our Privacy Policy together are the full agreement between you and Atlantic about the App. They replace earlier agreements or conversations about the same subject, whether written or spoken.
Contact Information
Questions about these Terms: email admin@scribbleminds.com, or use the support or feedback option in the App. We will reply when we reasonably can.
